The delegation's visit focused on discussions around the Global University Academy (GUA)—a worldwide consortium of universities from Europe, America, and Africa that aims to design a globally recognized education system for refugees and local communities across the world. Additionally, they reviewed ongoing collaborative projects between Gulu University and NMBU.

In a separate engagement, Dr. Sunday Ojara led a delegation from Yale University, School of Nursing (USA) for a courtesy visit to Prof. George Ladaah Openjuru, the Vice Chancellor of Gulu University. Their discussions explored collaboration opportunities within the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology/Reproductive Health, Faculty of Medicine, and the development of a Bachelor of Nursing and Midwifery curriculum at Gulu University.

Yale University has been actively engaged in improving maternal and child health in Atiak Sub-county for the past seven years, reinforcing its commitment to strengthening healthcare education and services in the region.

This visit marks another step towards global academic partnerships, strengthening Gulu University's position as a center for transformative education and healthcare initiatives in Uganda and beyond.
